Delaware House - Residential Care Home for Older People

£1,000 donation from Southend Airport

Delaware House is a residential home in Shoeburyness. We support people with dementia, mental health and complex needs. We are dedicated to providing good quality care and support for up to 24 residents. Encouraging and promoting relationships and interests, getting to know each person individually, meeting residents' needs and encouraging independence whenever we can. Dignity, respect and empathy are core values we promote in all areas of the support we provide.

We have a friendly team with a wide range of experience and skills, who are all passionate about providing quality care to the people who live at Delaware House, they offer residents stability and reassurance which is vital to meeting their needs.

The photo above shows Delaware staff and a resident (Frank Kaye) attended a guided tour of Southend Airport control tower in April 2018, following on from a kind donation from them as their chosen charity. Monies are going towards a sensory room.
Samantha Howell (Registered Manager) said "Robert Norton a son of one of Delaware's staff put the charity forward initially and he will be part of the in-house committee to spend the money and research equipment"

Delaware House has a rating of "GOOD" from CQC.
